Public Records Request

Idaho Public Records Act

The Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (IDVR) is committed to transparency and providing timely access to public information. To request public records, simply complete and submit the Public Records Request Form below. If you need assistance, please contact us at lauren.noble@vr.idaho.gov.

Before you submit your request, it is important to note there are differences in timeframes and fees associated with Idaho residents and non-Idaho residents. You may find it helpful to review Idaho’s Public Records Act (Title 74 of the Idaho Code). This law outlines response timelines, possible fees, and the types of records that may be exempt or require redaction. If IDVR is unable to fulfill your request within the timeframe specified, you will receive communication with updated timeframes. You can access the full statute here.

For additional guidance, the Idaho Office of the Attorney General publishes a Public Records Law Manual. This resource helps explain how the law works and what you can expect during the request process, including how access to public records is balanced with protecting individual privacy.
