March 4-5, 2019

Making Assistive Technology Work For You! Throughout the two-day event, there will be keynote speakers and presentations around employment, assistive technology, post-secondary education, independent living, and self-advocacy/self-direction. For more information, click here.
IESDB Work Camp and Paid Work Experience:
June 1 - July 14, 2019

Summer chat camp that will include 4 weeks of paid work experience. The camp will include interpreters for all students needing one.
ISU Academy NexT (New and exciting Transitions)[Section 1]:
June 24-29, 2019

Students spend one week on the ISU campus to participate in job exploration, career counseling, interview skills with the simulated environment/avatar, self-advocacy, independent living skills, community integration, and college life. Students will learn to budget, experience college classes, learn to use technology to support note taking, use of Livescribe pens, Chromebooks, and iPads, tour campus, meet disability services. (Residential)
SOLE LEAD (Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Education Leadership Environmental Awareness Development):
June 10-14, 2019

Students spend five days and four nights learning skills that will lead to successful employment. Students will be exposed to jobs that focus on environmental science and participate in hands-on activities that teach scientific and ecological principles. (Residential)
Boise State University PREP Academy:
June 16-21, 2019

Students spend one week on the BSU campus to experience college life, learn how to take notes in college, access Educational Access Center, understand financial aid, etc. (Residential)

MOSS (McCall Outdoor Science School) Camp:
June 16-21, 2019

Students spend one week learning skills that will lead to successful employment. Students will be exposed to jobs that focus on natural resources and have hands-on programs that teach scientific and ecological principles. (Residential)

U of I Vandal Academy:

Students spend one week on the University of Idaho campus to experience college life, learn how to take notes in college, access disability support services, understand financial aid, learn independent living skills, etc. (Residential)
YMCA Camps:
Flexible dates throughout the summer

Students will participate in a leadership in training (LIT) or a
counselor in training (CIT) summer camp. The LIT program takes a
deeper look into leadership, team building and problem solving.
The CIT program teaches the work skills needed to be a camp
counselor and working with children.
Paid Summer Work Experience:

Students will participate in one week non-paid job readiness training to prepare for working. Students will then participate in a part time paid experience for 5 weeks. On the job work site trainers will be available to students as support is needed.
